Step 1: Access Your YouTube Account
To begin the process of deleting a YouTube subscription, you need to access your YouTube account. If you are using a mobile device, open the YouTube app and log in to your account. If you are using a desktop, go to YouTube.com and log in to your account using your Google credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the Subscriptions Page
Once you are logged in, navigate to the Subscriptions page. On mobile devices, you can find this page by tapping on the profile icon in the top right corner of the app and then selecting “Subscriptions.” On desktop, click on your profile picture in the top right corner and choose “Subscriptions” from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Find the Subscription You Want to Delete
On the Subscriptions page, you will see a list of all the channels you are currently subscribed to. Scroll through the list and find the subscription you want to delete. If you have a lot of subscriptions, you can use the search bar at the top of the page to quickly locate the channel.
Step 4: Delete the Subscription
Once you have found the subscription you want to delete, tap on the channel’s name to open its profile page. On mobile, you will see a three-dot menu icon on the right side of the screen. Tap on this icon and select “Manage subscriptions.” On desktop, click on the three-dot menu icon next to the channel’s name and choose “Manage subscriptions.”
Step 5: Confirm the Deletion
After selecting “Manage subscriptions,” you will see a list of all your active subscriptions. Find the subscription you want to delete and click on the “Cancel subscription” button next to it. A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion. Click “Cancel subscription” again to confirm.
Step 6: Verify the Deletion
Once you have confirmed the deletion, the subscription should be removed from your list of active subscriptions. To ensure that the deletion was successful, go back to the Subscriptions page and check if the channel is no longer listed.
