How to Add a Link on Your YouTube Channel

Adding a link to your YouTube channel can be a game-changer for your viewers and your channel’s overall growth. It allows you to direct your audience to external websites, such as your personal blog, online store, or social media profiles. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of adding a link on your YouTube channel step by step.

First, you need to ensure that you have a verified YouTube account. If you haven’t verified your account yet, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Go to your YouTube channel’s homepage.
2. Click on the “Settings” gear icon in the upper right corner.
3. Select “Channel” from the left-hand menu.
4. Scroll down and click on “Verification.”
5. Follow the instructions to verify your account.

Once your account is verified, you can proceed with adding a link to your channel:

1. Go back to your YouTube channel’s homepage.
2. Click on the “Customize Channel” button in the upper right corner.
3. Under the “About” section, you will see a “Links” section. Click on “Add a link.”
4. Enter the URL of the website you want to link to in the provided field.
5. Give the link a name that will be displayed on your channel (e.g., “Visit My Blog”).
6. Click “Save.”

After saving the link, it will be added to your channel’s “About” section. Your viewers can now click on the link to visit the website you’ve provided. To make the link more prominent, you can also add it to your channel banner or custom tab.

If you want to add multiple links, simply repeat the above steps for each link. Remember that you can only add up to five links to your channel’s “About” section.

In addition to adding links to your “About” section, you can also add links to your video descriptions. This can be particularly useful when promoting a specific product, service, or article. To add a link to a video description:

1. Go to your YouTube Studio.
2. Click on the “Videos” tab.
3. Select the video you want to edit.
4. Click on the “Edit” button.
5. Scroll down to the “Description” section.
6. Add your link to the description and format it as you wish.
7. Click “Publish” to save your changes.
