what’s a 2 for 1 in basketball
In basketball, a “2 for 1” refers to a strategy where a team aims to get two possessions for every one possession of the opposing team, usually toward the end of a quarter. This is typically achieved by taking a quick shot with enough time left on the game clock so that the other team doesn’t have time to respond with a full possession before the quarter ends.
The idea is to score on the first possession, and then, depending on the clock, try to get another shot off before the buzzer while the opposing team only gets one attempt to score. It’s a tactic often used in late-game situations, where maximizing scoring opportunities is crucial.
